Bret is a Certified Financial Planner® licensee with more than 17 years experience in helping individuals make smart financial decisions. Prior to becoming a financial planner, his work experience included personal and commercial banking, the insurance and mortgage industries, stock analysis, investment management, risk management, bond trading, and option-based hedging. He is a published writer of market commentary and is a Registered Investment Advisor Affiliate of the firm.

Bret is also an active volunteer at local elementary and high schools. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Business from the University of Colorado in Boulder, and received his Certified Financial Planner license in February, 2001. Bret is married and is the father of two smart, funny, and beautiful daughters. He and his family reside in Lafayette.
